Purple-Muse on Thursday

Happy Thursday!  I hope that you are all getting 'thru the week alright, what with the crazy weather happening all over the continent it seems!  Hope you are staying warm and inspired...
Today was my day off and I am so happy that I got my housework done plus a little extra and was able to make this card for two challenges!  The pretty Muse inspiration card #52 from Marion Vagg, shown at the top of the post and the
CAS-ology purple challenge are what I will be linking this card to.  I started with one of my favourite Karen Lockhart stamps, this hydrangea bunch in a galvanized can and coloured with some Copic markers.   I also took a Copic grey to the little wood frame.  The die cut Sizzix leaves are placed behind the fram and I like how it peeks beneath the hydrangeas.  I added a strip of this purple chevron patterned paper to create a little weight at the bottom and  stamped a PTI sentiment onto the same purple paper (I must tell you that it is a recycled envelope from Papyrus that I received a birthday card in) that the card front is made from and I used a tiny MS tag punch.  Sequins were added...because I have soft purple ones and I think it extends the movement of the eye over the whole card.  So that's it for today and I hope that you are all having a nice crafty week, or at least a crafty weekend planned ahead!
Thanks for peeking and have a great day!

No longer a sequin virgin

Happy Thursday!  The weather here is still a little, shall I say-HOT!  We met with my husband's work friends tonight and they are from New Jersey and Philadelphia, they are taking the heat like good troopers and have not yet melted!
Onto the card I made, just for fun, no specific challenge.
I finally gave in and bought some sequins a couple of weeks back.    I used this Stampin' Up hydrangea stamps directly on a paint chip and shaded slightly with some Copic markers and then added the sequins, seed beads and perfect pearls.  The ribbon is a very narrow silk and the sentiment die cut is from Memory Box and I also added some sequins to the lace border.  Maybe I overindulged with the sequins.  I have seen some pretty cards out there with just a few randomly placed and I will attempt again!
Thanks for stopping by, stay cool and hydrated. Chriss
