Happily Ever After Mojo188

Good morning everyone!  Hope your Easter weekend was filled with family and  fun.  I had to work a couple of the days, but managed to get in quite a bit of yard work, mostly mulch laying and some trimming...
I wanted to start this week off with Julee's Mojo188 sketch challenge and I love how this card turned out.  I used Lilybee Designs Picket Fence papers for this wedding card.  The little 6 X 6 pad is a treasure!  I made the square version of the sketch and cut the front of the card 3/4" shorter (more narrow) than the back of the card to show off the Memory Box border die that I adhered to the inside of the card, newly acquired from Ellen Hutson's shop.  I used the Happily ever After sentiment from the Verve set Love Story.  Lots of great sentiments in that set!  I layered it onto a polka dotted circle and then onto a white doily-like shape that I made with another new die from Memory Box, nice and crisp looking and I think it adds a nice contemporary look to this card.  The leaves are punched in the Lilybee paper with a MS leaf/frond punch and the resin flower is a Prima.  Some stitching on the front panel with a perfect match thread that I had.
Thanks for taking a peek today,
hugs

Mojo134 Anniversary/Wedding Birdies

Good morning everyone! Another card for you using the Mojo sketch for this week, #134 and a Hero Arts Cutie Pie couple!
Here are the ingredients that I used to make this;
DCWV "La Creme" mat stack dp
PTI Vintage Cream cs
Hero Arts "Two Birds" stamp
Quickutz "Retro Diamonds" EF, Spellbinders Mega Scalloped oval die
Copic markers, Spica pens from set B, EK Succes punch, pearls, rhinestones, ribbon from Michael's and metal flower brad

I used the QK folder directly on the front of the card, cut the creamy yellow dp panel and another slightly larger dark gray panel, adhered them together. I then made a border from the same dark gray paper with the EK Success punch, adhered to the rectangular panels, cut a strip of the flocked dp, and wrapped the ribbon around to the back of the panel, glued to the card and placed the metal flower brad on the ribbon with a dimensional foam piece.
I cut another flocked piece of the dp(slightly more narrow) and used the scissors to snip around the almond shaped flocked areas and added that to the front.
The birdies were stamped in black and the wings were coloured with Copic marker and Spica pens touched the eyes and definition patterns on the wings. I cut out and added the pearls and rhinestone to her and adhered with dimensional foam to the Mega Scalloped Oval nestie. Added the coloured and cut out hearts too from this same stamped image. I think they are an adorable couple!

I think they are an adorable couple and this would be a cute Anniversary or Wedding card.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope your day will be happy and filled with gentle Spring weather!
