- Hi everyone! Hope your week-end was grand. I spent most of it in the garden and the yards and beds are shaping up pretty good!
- I made another card using some feathers for the Moxie Fab World challenge, this time adding them to a Memory Box sentiment label where a ribbon should be. It's a very subtle use of the feathers, but I think it adds a little something when using this little wooden bird that I pulled off of a little clothes peg that I bought at World Market. The sentiment is from the PaperTrey Ink set Bird Watching. I layered this beautiful Theresa Collins paper onto a wide grosgrain ribbon, a perfect colour match! The little croched flower has a circle of the same paper and a button finishes it off. I love this paper and the colour combo is one of my all-time faves and go-tos. Thanks for taking a peek!

peachy Keen Mojo Monday 137
Another Mojo Monday to you all! Julee has designed a fabulous sketch and this is what I came up with. I just recently bought this new Kaisercraft Peachy Keen 6 X 6 paper pad with these yummy warm and rich colours and started from there. The card came together very easily and not one bit of ink, ribbon or border punch was used on this! I cut out the squares of the larger floral and arranged on a layered strip panel. This went over a larger square layered panel and then I used the words laughter and girls from a sheet in the same paper pack and cut them with various die shapes. I also cut out a glossed flower from the paper pack and used a foam dimensional to adhere. Easy Peasy ~ Peachy Keen! Thanks for looking!

Donna's Butterfly
It's my very dear friend's birthday tomorrow. She is in the Toronto area and I am in Austin, so she won't get this on her birthday, but that's ok because she is on a cruise with her family for her 50th!
We will see each other at the end of May and celebrate then...oh my...we have known each other since we were 2 years old. The sketch is borrowed from Card Positioning Systems #109. Here is my card for Donna's 50th. The colours are inspired from this beautiful Basic Grey Marrakech dp. I used my new Peony Nesties from Spellbinders that I embossed with 2 of the smaller peony dies and the tan mat from Spellbinders (cant't really see in the photo) for the butterfly mat. Thanks for taking a peek!
