Mojo122

My Mojo sketch on a Tuesday!
I was so inspired by this paper from My Mind's Eye, I just love the colours in it!
I punched out a few hearts from the paper and glued them onto the narrow panel and punched out some smaller ones from the teal Bazzill card stock and arranged for some movement.
I had the idea to use these strung seed beads in place of the stem that the (hearts or petals?) are attached by, so I used some crystal effects to adhere. I stamped the sentiment and punched out with the small SU oval punch and placed behind the metal HP hardware. I added 2 K & CO. rhinestones in the same aqua/teal colour as the Bazzil and then placed it over the larger panel with some dimensional foam. There is a strand of the beads and a strand of embroidery thread wrapped around the bottom of the narrow panel. Hope you like these colours too! Thanks for a great sketch Julie!

A plum treasure!

Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for stopping in today and I apologize for the lack of posts. I thought I would have had more time this 1st week of the year for paper crafting...well only in my brain.
My first challenge in the New Year...finally! I am so behind in challenges but have been busy, busy with organizing (not in my stamp room yet, I have a very dear friend that will be donating some of her very precious time to help me) a guest bedroom, emptying / painting the laundry room / the pantry etc. Last night was the first time I had found an hour to actually create a submission for Julee's Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I really appreciate those of you that have been checking in, so here goes with this plum coloured "Treasure" card. I created the card base with some Bazzil textured card stock (the name of this colour is San Francisco) and I applied a 1/4" smaller K and CO. paper over that. I cut out a 3 1/4" square of PaperTrey Ink Lavender Moon card stock and ran it through a CB "Exotic Flowers" embossing folder. The Verve flower image was stamped in SU Elegant Eggplant ink and coloured with Copic markers, cut out and placed on dimensional foam and applied to various layers of the cs and papers used throughout the card. The patterned paper is a Basic Grey from the Indian Summer 6 X 6 pack. I applied some lavender rhinestones to "bling it up"
All images stamped are from the Verve "Believe" set that Julee created last year. I love this set! The lavender twill is from a Basic Grey package that I purchased at a local SBS last year. It is a perfect match to PTI's lavender moon. The teeny scallop at the bottom of the pattern paper is an EK punch.
I thank you for stopping in, peeking and leaving a comment! Have a great day,
I think I may have some more time today to create another card...
Cheers!

Time to blossom

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone has had a good week and a good Saturday.  I have been busy crafting cards for a craft show I will be a vendor at in less than 2 weeks!  I have to get quicker at making cards and gifties.  I did take time out yesterday to make this card for Julee's Mojo 107 sketch challenge and contest.  I chose the Plain Jane quote as the focal point and stamped it in Memento London Fog ink onto white.  I used my Nestabilitiy circles and scallops to cut and emboss.  I also used the Verve image from Budding Blossoms in the left hand panel that I stamped in Always Artichoke and coloured with Copic makers to match the dp that I used from PaperTrey Ink (Tiny Vines) and a dp from Memory Box for the side rectangular panels (Rhubarb Tart) that I think is a very nice compliment to the vines dp.  I backed everything in PTI Ocean Tides card stock (this is my favourite colour ever!) and also punched out a new MS loop border that I think has an elegant style and matches with the overall feel I wanted for this card. (Thanks Yvonne for finding these oh so hard to get new border punches!)  Over the border, I placed a length of PTI ribbon too.  Thanks for looking and hope you have a great evening!
Cheers, Chriss

Sparkly Mojo Cupcake

I finally got some time to play this morning!  There are so many challenges that I have not been able to kepp up with because of my work schedule, I will try to do some catching up over the next couple of days.  This first one is for the Mojo 105 challenge.  I have so many ideas to use this one with...!  I love the idea of using punches, I think they add a lot with little effort, so this was quite easy.  I punched out all of my circles using the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 SU punches and some PTI designer papers.  I backed these onto some pumpkin pie cs.  The card base is also pumpkin pie and i covered the top and bottom parts with some MM dp that I purchased last year at Target.  I layed the circles on this and cut off the edges of the two circles that were hanging off of the card edges.  Next, I layered a spider web border that I made with a MS punch and glued a narrow pumpkin pie ribbon down the middle and added the cute MM bat brads.  The image was stamped with Mem. Tux. ink onto a cream cs and coloured with Copic markers.  The paper cupcake base was stamped directly onto the dp, cut out, and placed on top of the cut out cupcake.  I then some dimensionals onto the cupcake back and placed onto a layered Labels 3 Spellbinder shape.  I also placed some glue onto the black confetti on the cupcake top and I used some black MS glitter.  It doesn't show up very well in the photo, but it is quite sparkly in real life!  The sentiment was stamped in black craft ink and clear embossed.  Thanks for taking a peek,
Cheers!
