VLVFeb03 - pesto monochromatic

Here is my submission for the Verve sketch challenge-with a twist!  The twist is to make a monochromatic card.  I LOVE monochromatics, so this was an easy one for me to make, but boy, was it hard to photograph this colour!  You can't tell from the pic, but this paper pack from SEI called Dill Blossom has a beautiful linen texture to all of the sheets.  My starting point was the beautiful flower from Prima.  It is just slightly darker than the solid colour pesto paper so it stands out a little more. I followed the sketch and added borders to all of the panels (the same as the patterned paper panel) and sponged the edges of the solid pesto colour.  I added some pearls to the sentiment panel from K & Co. for a little elegance and also to the little butterfly.  I stamped the butterfly with the butterfly stamp from the retired SU! Botanicals set (one that I will never give up).  The butterfly was cut with my Spellbinders dies as were the oval and scalloped oval for the sentiment.
Thanks for taking a p{{k!

  1. It did come out cute... I like the colors, but like you said they are hard to photograph. I had the same problem with my card. Love the little added butterfly...
