A Merry Poinsettia Framed Favourite

 Happy Wednesday!
It's time for another Muse: Christmas Visions installment.
If any of you know me personally, you know that I LOVE poinsettias.  I have a nice collection of stamps and a few dies.  Today, I decided to make this latest card with the SSS Poinsettia Parade die.  It has smaller scale poinsettias and I had in mind to make a tiny framed front to my card.  I also wanted to add some drama, so a textured black card stock was my first choice.  I started by creating a loose frame by embossing the corners separately with a stamp that is intended to be a butterfly path.  I have also used this stamp as a balloon streamer!  Anyway, stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed in gold, then I layered my poinsettia parts onto a green textured swatch die.  The little leaf is a Memory box die and I layered a pine needle die cut over the green, just snipping the edges off while following the leaf shape.  I also placed a few golden seed beads in the poinsettia center.  The sentiment is an old and retired SU.
My simple, but favourite Christmas flower...
I hope that you will have time to play this next week.  The linkup is open until next Wednesday at 8:00 Eastern.
Have a wonderful day...and add to those Christmas cards.  Will your framed favourite be a flower, tree or something else special to you?
Looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery!
