Curtain Call

Hi there!

Just a very quick post to play along with the Curtain Call "Warm Scarf" challenge.  I know...it doesn't look like a scarf at all.  I had a different version of this on which I had put in a knit texture, some cleverly disguised grass for the "fringe"...I should have taken a photo of it.  It was ghastly!
I salvaged the pretty scarf border, a Hero Arts floral border that I coloured with my Copic markers.  I stayed pretty true to the colours represented and I just had to let go of the soft scarf caption.
Does that ever happen to you when you design a card, in your head and all is perfect and THEN it comes out just horrible?
I frighten myself sometimes...haha
Anyhow,
hugs to you and thanks for stopping by!
Chriss

Still working on my Valentine Day card order.  I hope to finish by tomorrow evening.  Then I can get back to visiting around the blogs again!

  1. Your stamping and copic coloring are just perfect for the challenge... well just perfect, period. Love the way you've acknowledged the scarf by wrapping the band of coloring in the center of your card, Chriss... I hope everyone zooms in on this one... the details are fabulous!

  5. So very pretty, Chriss ... the colouring's wonderful! Ah yes, the head v reality question ... happens to me with amazing regularity ... had of those 'ghastly moments' last night ... and now the paper bin is full and there's no card to show for it ... but I learned what not to do! Anita :)

  6. LOL! I highly doubt version #1 was ghastly! But I can certainly relate! Great save, too! I love what you've done with version #2! Thanks for playing along with the Curtain Call!
