Here is a card that I made for the Papercrafts Gallery Idol contest a few weeks back. The challenge was for a birthday card for teenagers or children. I used some of my fave colours on this one, layered some Papertrey Ink flowers die cuts, topped with a Maya Road bingo center and added some butterflies. The sentiment is a Memory Box die cut and I layered the aqua over a chocolate brown one for a shadowed effect (a little trick I learned from Ros Crawford). I really like how the card turned out, but it did not make the cut. Gallery Idol is now at round two and I will be voting when submissions are due on Monday. It is fun to vote. I will continue to seek out submissions this year and who knows...maybe one day :))
