MCV #30 and Day 24 of 25 Days of Christmas Tags

 Good morning!
Welcome to MCV #30!  Today, MCV is sponsoring Day 24 of Tracey's The 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.   There are prizes to be won on Tracey's Blog "In My Creative Opinion" and also at MCV.  Make sure you go and check out the details!
The whole MCV Design Team (and some special guests) are playing along today.  The MCV Tag theme is red and green with a tree element.  Here is my tag.
My "tree" is a cactus, I do live in Texas :)
She has bloomed for the occasion and is festooned with her own little homemade LED light garland.  I created the tag by die cutting my PTI tag from water colour car.  I painted my Texana Designs stamp with a green from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints and stamped directlly onto the card, then filled in with another shade of green.  The spines were then given a touch of gold paint.  my LED garland was made with some fine copper wire and glossy accents that was left to dry on a piece of acetate.  when completely dry, I carefully removed and shaped it onto the cactus.  The Merry Christmas Y'all is another Texana stamp.  The red woodgrain paper is from Cosmo Cricket.
