Play date Friday, with Michele

Happy Friday :)

Today is the day!  Michele called earlier this week to ask if I would make a card with the technique she used on this card below that she had made last week.  Another friend Jenni, from Jenni's Jems had requested a play date for the card, so it seems we are a trio quartet today!  My brain must have been on freeze...we have Michelle W. (of Amusing Michelle) in the group today too!
I had an idea right away, as she specified that it was to be a more masculine card...so, I have a card for my sweetie made to give him today, just because.

I used my Hero Arts veggies and sentiment again from the Stamp Your Own Salad set and the Technique Tuesday sentiment "mister" (forgive me Darnell!) from the Mister Man set.  The gold embossed band is a Papertrey Ink Ombre builders stamp.  My beet leaves were embossed with a very old Stampendous pearlized Carnelian EP, all on water colour cs.   I used my Kuratake Tambi Gansai water colours for the leaves and beets and I love how they turned out.  The beets look like they have natural highlights and texture IRL.

Here is a close up

So, another fun play date and a first try for me at this technique.  Thanks for asking me, Michele!  I had a blast making this card and trying this technique :)

Now I am off to see what Jenni and Michele created!
