Pastel coloured tulips

Another little post on this cold Tuesday in Austin.
I made this little card for my sweet MIL in Montreal.  She, like some of you have been experiencing a long cold and snowy winter.  Hero Arts has a Nature challenge going on right now and I wanted to get a photo to submit and then send this card on it's way.  I love the newsprint blocked tulips from Hero Arts and inked this up in Dove Grey from Staz On, stamped onto a die cut tag and then water coloured with Aqua Mist and Hello Honey re-inkers that I mixed with water.  These colours remind me of the little pastel pillow mints that I have not had in decades.  I left the tulip leaves au naturel, not adding any colour to them.  I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment in the same grey ink and added a strip of patterned paper from Teresa Collins.  It happened to have the same grey tones in it and I wanted a little something to draw more attention to the sentiment.  The silk, hand dyed ribbon was snipped from a length in my stash.
Has anyone seen any tulips yet where they live?
