Good evening everyone! I am trying my hand again at a "shabby card". I am not grasping all of the fabulous shabby that I have been seeing on so many blogs, but I did have fun making this card for the Shabby Tea Room challenge #11. Sharon Johnson of "No Time To Stamp?" is sponsoring with a fabulous (really fabulous) prize.
We are using this photo as inspiration and pink says shabby to me!
I stamped the teacups and teapot on this K and Co. paper pad and used another same sheet of it, only the reverse side, for the card front. They both have polka dots incorporated on each side of the paper! I shaded/touched the teacups with Copic markers to add some depth.
The sketch that I used is
So here is the card and there is a close up of the sentiment and floral detail. I went to a sewing shop looking to buy some seam binding. They didn't have any! I was told that they sell sewing machines and encourage people to make their own seam binding...
I did spy some buttons that came home with me that should turn up on some cards eventually ;)
Thanks so much for taking a peek!
