A Muse card...

Happy Monday!
I am taking a little break from some watercolour homework and trying to catch up on some commenting and card making challenges.  First up, I made a card this morning for the Muse challenge where Michele has given me an ear worm (a very joyous one)and I had to act immediately with all of the joy in my heart.

Here is Michele's joyous beauty!

And here is my card

Can you guess what song title I am trying to convey?

Let me offer this clue.  I saw a great show back in the late 80's?

Still need a clue?  Here is the inside of the card.

My sweet hubby and me HOPE to retire in a few to 5 years and we are investigating some other warm areas...I will be giving this to Neil today, you know, for support and encouragement :))

So, yes, it is John Cougar Mellancamp's "Little Pink Houses"

And, I still have Michele's song playing,
I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in my heart!

Thanks for peeking in!  Have a great start to your week !

  1. Love your little pink houses .... I didn't know the song, but off to listen.

  2. Perfect, Chriss!! I love your watercoloring! and your song! You are definitely the first to complete all of the requirements! Thanks for playing!

  3. fabulous watercolouring-I admit I don't know this song!

  4. I'm swooning over this ... Absolutely gorgeous!!!

  5. Hello Chriss: I love your row of beautifully water colored houses, this are so adorable.
I would have said "Our house, in the middle of the street" by Madness. This was a very popular song back in the 80s. or somewhere around that. It's really a funny song.
    Thank you for sharing.
This was a fabulous challenge, I hope you go take a peek at my card and try to guess my song.
    Maria Rodriguez.

  6. Oh I love these water-colored houses and all the pink on the card, and great song choice as well.

  7. Ha! Very good! Love your watercolouring and the whimsical feel of this! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Chriss!

  8. Those whimsical little homes are so sweetly coloured, Chriss ... they're brilliant against that sunrise-y warm background! Don't know the song, but love the message you're conveying! Hugs, Anita :)

  9. A row of pink houses in a warm climate sounds good to me, Chriss. I don't know the song but I love your card.

  10. Love the background and it makes your houses just pop out and I love your oh so subtle hint about the reason for your card but never having heard that song off to listen to it now!

  11. Gorgeous - those little pinkish houses. Now I have to listen to your song....

  12. Great song, great card...Love it!

Thanks for taking a peek and leaving a comment :)
