It's the 25th today and that means time for the PTI blog hop. It has been too long since I have participated and I am so happy that I made a card for the event. Nichole gave us a beautiful inspiration piece.
I don't have this Quatrefoil cover plate, but had an idea yesterday as I was looking over my PTI order that I received on Monday. The "Quilted : Spring" stamp and die sets are beautiful and after die cutting the large circular pattern from Fun Foam, I used the discarded inside of circle to use as a stamp. It is liked a pinched, curved diamond shape and I stamped in a random pattern onto wet watercolour paper with various inkpads. They are PTI Lemon Tart, Melonberry, Aqua Mist, Tropical Teal, Autumn Rose and Hibiscus Burst. I also used a TH distress grape ink.
This is an out of the ordinary for me, like a kind of abstract art? It was fun seeing the different colours together, but a little scary for me too without any organization on the card front. I wanted a sentiment on the front too after looking at this crazy piece of inked art and I came across the "dare to be fabulous" from the Big and Bold sentiments. These smaller lined sentiments are probably supposed to go on the inside of the card, but there you go. It's my crazy card for the week :)
Another cool thing I discovered yesterday was that the new pages die for the new planner from PTI can be used as a frame. I took one of the smaller negative die cuts and framed my sentiment! That's daring...for me!
That's a great way to use that die, well done, I love your card.x
