I am taking a walk down the Runway...
and having fun getting inky!
It is not a challenge that I frequent and I have to remedy that! This week's RIC #76 is Carven. I was attracted to the colours in the rectangular panels on the shirt. They look like Spring cherry blossoms to me flowing down a river of beautiful blues and aquas. I inked up a white panel with distress inks and a SU reinker. I then stamped this pretty cherry blossom branch from MFT's set "Spring" and then painted in the blossoms. I was going to cut into rectangular panels and puzzle together but decided to use an MFT curvy slopes die and separated the piece into 4, arranging them on top of a grey panel. The sentiment is also from the same MFT set. Love the pretty font!
I have really been getting inky these days, getting back to actual stamping, shading and masking and truly loving every minute!
This will also be headed over to the Stamplorations "Stamps and Inks" challenge going on.
Thanks for taking a peek!

ReplyDeleteYou don't know this about me, Chriss, but I adore Japanese Silk Painting... this is just absolutely my all-time favorite card you've created thus far!!!!!!! The panels, the perfect blending, and stamps are just perfection - and THEN you die cut them to form your river... spectacular.....
