Paper pieced hot air balloons MOJO89

Hi everyone.  I have been spending the last 10 days with a very dear friend that I get to see once a year.  She lives in the Toronto area and I am in Austin, so we don't get to have coffee dates on a regular basis, but we sure did make up for it these last 10 days.  I am so blessed to have a few very close friends, some near and some living far away.
My Mojo took a few hours to "come back" this morning after having not stamped for a while, and I have been dying to ink up the Verve newly released set , Up, up and Away!  It is just a darling set and as you can see from the 3 samples I made today, you can make a feminine or masculine hot air balloon. I really had fun paper piecing these and will be making a lot more of them with the different balloons.  The first one is my feminine version and my submission for Julee's Mojo 89 which happens to be a contest this week! I worked with the lavenders and purples from BG Wisteria. I used my labels 3 die to frame the balloon  and layered it onto the striped paper from Wisteria.  The flower is a Prima and I cut out a tiny circle of dp and added a lavender rhinestone for a little bling.  I love using all of the BG paper packs as it is so easy to match the colours and patterns and I so love that the patterns are teeny!  Here are a couple more using the same sketch with different Basic Grey papers to create a different feel.  Thanks for taking a peek!

  1. I love all 3 cards! My favorite is the first one using the label die really frames the balloon. I also love how on all 3 how you have a little extras, very much a Chriss touch:)
