Stitched Masculine Birthday
Saturday again-YAY!
I get to play and create. I bought some fabric a few weeks ago and wanted to incorporate it onto some Fall birthday cards. I was eyeing the CTS 49 for the week and thought it would work well with these elements. So, I ironed some fusible interfacing onto the back of it for some stability and used a Spellbinders Oak leaf die, hoping for the best...worked like a charm! I added some machine stitching in brown to give some definition to the oak leaf. I also die cut a Japanese Maple shape using PTI Terra Cotta, a very close match to the bolder colour in the fabric. I adhered to a kraft card front that was embossed with a woodgrain pattern. The Happy Birthday was an easy choice for it's simplicity and clean font (and it fit perfectly on the non-embossed strip at the bottom!). After photographing, I saw that the CFC 117 was for stitching! So 1 card-2 challenges :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!
