Happy Birthday Martini Drink

There is another challenge going on over at Impression Obsession to make a card any shape, other than a rectangle, using I.O. stamps. I needed a birthday card for a friend and thought this Birthday Martini drink stamp was a perfect fit for her! After deciding on the stamp, I selected some fun papers to work with from the DCWV Citrus mat stack. I stamped the image in SU basic gray ink and coloured with my Copic markers. The shape I decided to make my card is the largest Octagon from the Spellbinders large octagon nestabilities set. I placed it over the folded white card stock base with one edge of the octagon die not touching the card stock fold. I layered and adhered a floral pattern strip and another green pindot strip(I used a MS border punch on the green)over a larger piece of the green and cut out the same size octagon from the green paper with tiny white pindots on it for the card front. I then embellished the border punched flower centers with these orange rhinestones from Kaiser. They add a nice sparkle and pick up the orange in the floral pattern paper. I cut another smaller octagon for placement under the top of the glass and then attached a new silk 1/4" ribbon from PaperTrey Ink across the front of the card. The whole panel was attached to the card base and I finally added the martini to the card with dimensional foam for some added dimension. This was a really fun card for me to work on! Thanks for looking~cheers!~chriss
