Bold Beautiful Blooms Thank You

Back with another card that is suitable for two challenges...love that!

The Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary challenge for today is to use stripes.  

The CAS ology cue word this week is BOLD.

I made my stripes with some patterned PTI paper from the Beautiful Blooms 

8 X 8 stack.  I layered onto a black PTI card stock front and then made my flower blooms from various PTI dies.  I also added a crystal clear and chartreuse button center that I recently bought at Michael's.  I stamped my PTI sentiment in true black and just hand cut a little strip and added to the card.  I think these colours on black are pretty bold for the CAS ology challenge...right?

Happy Birthday PTI from Chriss

Don't be scared...Happy 7th Birthday Papertrey Ink!

It has been a wonderful 7 years and I am happy to have been able to enjoy seeing this creative team grow in leaps and bounds.  Nicohole has put out a very fun challenge today, to make a birthday card for the PTI 7th anniversary and to send them to the PTI warehouse workers.  We are to take a pic of the card for our blog of course and...to take a pic of us holding the card...scary!

Oh well, it's a celebration right?  I actually had some fun taking the photo of myself holding the card :)

I used a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #7 that I stamped in Smokey Shadow on velum and heat embossed. The beautiful botanical images are from the Meadow Greens set from last July and I randomly added some Copic markered dots of blackberry to the white blooms.  The card front is Limeade Ice and I used a Giga Guide Line 1 impression plate to emboss the lovely floral and then placed my stamped bloom in the center as the focal point.

Hope that you like the card.  It has been addressed and stamped and it will be off to Ohio tomorrow morning.

I am showing another card today and offering it up for the CAS-ology challenge - AND -
I like these colours together and was quite pleased with how it turned out.  
I was inspired by Maureen's card, as seen in the DT cards... so very lovely!
  My card was such a simple design and actually, no stamping...but die cuts and stickers are such a speedy way to make a quick card!  I am also putting this into the Papertrey Ink 
7th Anniversary challenge to make a card in 17 minutes or less :)  The love die is PTI as is the you (from the Thankyou die, just snipped off what I needed) and the hearts with arrows too.  I used a Thickers ampersand and it really emphasizes the and in the CAS ology challenge.
