I am crafting up a storm today...all day long! I made this card for Darnell's challenge over at MUSE, #40. She is the featured MUSE this week and I only very recently came to know about Darnell's blog and craftiness.
I knew that I wanted to use the same colours and some velum as seen in Darnell's wonderful inspiration card. I set off making all kinds of velum borders and arrangements, but they were not speaking to me, so, I chose this simpler approach to let the sentiment be center stage. It is from Verve's "Believe" set from a couple of years ago. The flower from the same set is stamped in craft white ink on SU's Pink Pirouette and heat embossed then fussy cut. I don't have a lot of choices when it comes to pink...but I think this pink is a perfect soft shade. The Memory Box Lavalier Circle was cut from pink velum and adds even more of a feminine and soft touch (imho). I added a couple of green leaves made with the My Favorite Things Branch and leaves die cut set. I finished it off with a punched pink ribbon, the universal recognizable symbol.
Here is a close-up of the focal area.
Thanks for popping in for a visit and I hope that you are having a great Saturday!
