Smiling at the seashore

Good morning everyone!  I feel like I have been missing in action, but trying to get some challenges done.  I am working on some DTGD challenges and hope to post all of those this week, but for today, I have a card that covers two challenges, the City Crafter Challenge Blog #14(a sketch) and the Moxie Fab World (a graphics card, a real challenge for me because I don't think I do graphics, very seldom)
I started with this PTI paper from the Green Boutique and used some Inkadinkado seashore stamps that have graphics in them!  I really wanted to use these cool seashell toothpicks that I found at Anthropology a couple of weeks ago on sale (love the sale section) and I wrapped them with a narrow Japanese masking tape that I had.  The sketch from CityCrafters was perfect for these small stamps that I stamped in Memento Tux. black and coloured with my Copic markers.  I cut them out and layered them over a plain white square of cs and sandwiched the toothpicks in the center.  The sentiment is an old "Special Hostess/demonstrator" set from SU that I got when I was a demo several years ago.
That is it for my foray into the graphic design world...I know, don't quit my day job!
Have a great Sunday!
Thanks for taking a peek!

CCCB11 Shades of Green

The theme for this week's City Crafter Challenge 11 is to use shades of green.
Here is my try...
I made a very simple card using this pretty textured green and ivory patterned card stock from JoAnn's called Mint Green Porcelain (no brand name on the back?)for the card front and parts of a couple of the flowers and the sentiment label.
The flower punches are Martha Stewart and I layered the two different sizes...easy!
I made a border of laces and ruched ribbon that I had in my stash and sewed the top edge of the border with the sewing machine.

I had sewn the perimeter of the two card stock fronts together with the old sewing machine previous.
The SU! sentiment was stamped and cut out as was the teeny Inkadinkado bird cage. I added some tiny green rhinestones that I cut apart from a fancy rhinestone cluster and added these to the birdcage.

I popped the flowers, sentiment and birdcage on foam and placed on the card front.
That's pretty much it! I love how it turned out!
Great challenge!
Have a great Friday. It's raining here in Austin and will be raining for the whole weekend they are saying...
I am sure there will be some sort of break in the weather to do some grilling. Hope it is warm and sunny for you to celebrate the holiday weekend!
Thanks for taking a peek!
